The brief was to produce several design concepts for the elevation of a marketing suite pavilion for a new residential and mixed use development, Glasswater Locks located in the learning quarter in Birmingham.

I was inspired by an illustration of stylised landmarks of Birmingham which featured as the hero illustration in the development’s brochure. The linear simplicity was perfect for producing metal cutout art/panels that could wrap around the pavilion. I produced several options — back-lit laser-cut panels, debossed linear art panels with frosted glass effect art across windows and the chosen route for the elevation – linear illustration as brushed copper metal cut-out art with frosted glass effect across windows.
